Prost! Oktoberfest is back! Celebrate fall in Maine with Flight of the BumbleBeer, Move to the Music, Bach & Beer, and a Mozart Requiem Sing Along. 

HIGHLIGHTS WILL INCLUDE:

• Lecture — Myth or Fact? Mozart’s Requiem — Presented in partnership with The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Only a third of Mozart’s Requiem, his famous choral-orchestral work, was written by the composer before he died. Uncover the truth behind the secrets and lies shrouding this masterpiece. 

• Flight of the Bumblebeer — Visual and performing arts collide as Classical Uprising takes over at the Portland Museum of Art. Allagash Brewing joins as we match short musical interludes to the beers’ flavor profiles.

• Bach & Beer — There is a long history in classical music of combining good drink, good friends, and great music. We revive the tradition at Flight Deck Brewing by pairing delicious local beer with short musical interludes. 

• Mozart Requiem Sing Along — Come sing with us! A one-night rehearsal, concert, and party in celebration of Mozart’s Requiem. After an hour of rehearsal with conductor Emily Isaacson, and a Mozart-inspired cake party, amateur singers and music lovers perform together.
